vertical forest in milan

In Milan, 2 residential buildings called Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest) are currently being constructed integrating vertical gardens in architecture.
The 900 trees it will support along with shrubs and flowering plants will control
the building's climate by filtering the air.
What a great contrast from the hard surfaces of a city.

Designed by the architectural firm Stefano Boeri Architetti

Inspired by pumpkins.

Love this door edge detail...
I'm going to use this somewhere!

beach house: something's gotta give

It's time for my beach vacation and that reminds me of
my favorite beach house from the movie 'something's gotta give'.
OK, so most of it was a movie set, but still fabulous!

That fantastic kitchen!
...the cozy open great room
...and that desk with a great view!

design museum holon

The Iconic Design Museum Holon Building outside Tel Aviv is a public art museum in progress for the last 4 years. I love the different shades of red and beautiful steel ribbon-like facade!
