8 years ago today I was getting ready

for our wedding on Martha's Vineyard.

Place cards strung on a clothes line.

The perfect casual beach house.

Invitations edged in sand.

Save-the-date packets making it easy

for guests to make arrangements.

6 years of working in a florist pays off,

I made my own centerpieces.

Our perfect bridal party: my sister + Pete's 3 kids.

in her cousin's wedding this past weekend.

She caught the bouquet!

Those poor single girls will have to wait a long time...

and got a little wild!

My new favorite shoes for summer are these

all natural handmade Swedish Hasbeens.

They have been around since the 1970s and are coming back!

Love the silver...my friend in LA wants these.

But I decided on the wear-with-everything color

and got them in 'nature'.

They are so comfortable and I'm told

in time will fit like a shoe-glove.
