dipped decor

Check out this new trend to give any object a new fresh look - dip it!
For do-it-yourselfers this can be easy, all you need is a little paint.
For those of you who like to purchase rather than create, there are great pieces to buy.

in pursuit of pendants

Pendant lighting doesn't have to be ho-hum or look so utilitarian.
Make all those plumbing fixtures, stone counter tops. and appliances sparkle
with some shining jewels - artful and decorative pendants
that add pizazz to kitchens, bars and other work spaces.

marimekko bottna print in GREEN

in honor of st. patrick's day!

One of my all time favorite prints is
marimekko's bottna print in green + white.
I love the large scale and how the pattern
is cropped on my large 26" tray.
It's the perfect place to transfer appetizers from
my kitchen to its' next destination.

(the fabric is available, but unfortunately not the tray)

painted gray cabinets

Until my dream kitchen,
I continue to try and improve my not-so-dreamy one.
My husband says even though the kitchen isn't great,
the food that comes out is...which might further the renovation.
Who thought cooking well could be held against you?
My kitchen cabinets are now
freshened up with Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray,
A friend told me it felt french, sounds good to me!
